How Vauxx Inc. uses text messages, when we may text you first, and how to stop them.
What we send
- Verification codes — a one-time code when you sign in.
- Trip and split messages — an invitation when someone adds you to a trip or a split, and updates about it, such as a new plan, a flight, or a settle-up request.
- The Vaux assistant — replies when you text our number, and follow-ups about a trip or split you are part of, such as asking for your flight or where you are staying.
- Product messages — occasional messages about using Vaux, such as an invitation to plan your next trip.
We may text you first
You do not have to message us before we message you. We may start a conversation when:
- you have a Vaux account, or have been part of a trip or split on Vaux;
- someone adds you to their trip or split;
- something changes on a trip or split you are part of.
Messages come from our number, +1 (914) 702-8664, by iMessage where available and by SMS otherwise. Sign-in codes may come from a different number.
Consent
You consent to messages from Vaux by entering your number on Vaux or by texting our number. Trip and split messages are sent because someone added you to their trip or split. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and every message can be stopped.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message to end them. Reply HELP for assistance, or write to alecteller@gmail.com. Stopping messages does not delete your account, but you will not be able to receive sign-in codes, which are needed to log in.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with how much you and your group use Vaux. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your number
Your number is used to sign you in and to deliver the messages above. It is shared only with the providers that deliver our messages and run the Vaux assistant. It is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers. See the Privacy Policy.
